Reading Choose this type if you just use your glasses for close up work, like reading the paper. Computer work/Music Choose this type if you'd like what's known as an 'intermediate' lens. These lenses are most suitable if you use your glasses primarily for things like playing musical instruments, or using computers. Everything/Distance Choose this type if you use your glasses for every day use, or seeing things at a distance (e.g. driving) Bifocal These glasses do two jobs: the top part of the lens is for distance, and the bottom part for reading. We use D28 lenses as standard or you can choose a D35 shaped bifocal lens for a wider reading view. Alternatively you can choose an executive bifocal lens which is the full width of the frame.

Thin lenses
	Lenses come in a variety of materials and thicknesses. If you select the thin, ultra thin, or ultra ultra thin lenses, we make your lenses using a plastic with a high refractive index which will significantly reduce the thickness of the lens.

	You can go thinner still (1.67) while the thinnest index (1.74) lenses are also available.
	We recommend thin lenses on all glasses, but especially for rimless wearers, and those with higher prescriptions (who tend to have thicker lenses).
	You can also choose to have polycarbonate lenses which are the same thickness as our standard thin (1.6) lenses. Polycarbonate lenses are a very strong lens type and consequently we supply this as standard with all our rimless glasses.
Bifocal lenses
	We supply D28 shaped lenses with our standard bifocals. Alternatively you may choose a wider D35 shaped bifocal lens which gives a larger reading area or an executive bifocal lens which is the full width of the frame.

Get an anti-reflective coating! The anti-reflective coating reduces distracting reflections of the glasses themselves, particularly important while driving and if you regularly use a computer. The coating takes the form of an almost invisible green film over the lenses. It's a popular choice with TV presenters, so their eyes look great on camera, and so they don't get reflections from the lenses. Get a scratch resistant coating Glasses can have a hard time of it, shoved into pockets with keys for instance. The scratch-resistant coating helps protect them against everyday wear and tear. Cool tints for the beach With tinted lenses at half the price of the high street, you can afford to get a pair of prescription sunglasses. A variety of colours can be added to your lenses to produce sunglasses, avoiding the heavy weight of clip-ons.
